Talula's Daily Roughwood Seed Dinner

The Roughwood Seed Collection, which now comprises about 4,000 varieties of heirloom food plants, was begun informally in 1932 by H. Ralph Weaver (1896-1956). During the Great Depression, when food was scarce for many households, he set out to feed his family from a one-acre plot in West Chester, Pennsylvania. His passion for rare old-time varieties snowballed so that by the 1940s he managed to create one of the finest kitchen gardens in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Join us for a community supported supper benefiting The Roughseed Collection on February 25th at 7PM. The dinner will feature dishes from Talula’s Chefs Charles Parker & Anthony Colontonio and William Woys Weaver, internationally known food historian, epicure and author. Farmers Ian Brendle of Green Meadow Farm & Ben Wenk of Three Springs Fruit Farm will also contribute. Check out the menu here.

The dinner is $125 per person, tax and gratuity are not included. Call us at 215-592-6555 to reserve your spot!
